Connection
Connect WhatsApp devices and WABA numbers, copy tokens, and fix linking failures.
Connect a WhatsApp device or WABA number before sending. Each section below is a numbered task — follow the steps, check You should see, then continue.
WhatsApp — check your account token first
Do this once if Channel → WhatsApp → Devices shows no rows or you are not sure Kirisan can see your devices:
- Open Channel → WhatsApp → Token, add or update your Fonnte account token, then save.
- Go back to Channel → WhatsApp → Devices and click Refresh.
- If a Fonnte account dropdown appears, pick the account that owns the device and click Refresh again.

You should see at least one device row after the refresh.
Add and connect a WhatsApp device
Goal: Register a new WhatsApp number and link it by scanning QR.
- Open Channel → WhatsApp → Devices and click Add Device in the page header.

- Enter a Name (for example
Sales) and the Device number with country code, no+(for example6281234567890). Click Add Device.

- You should see a new row with Status
disconnect.
- Click Connect on the new row and follow the steps in Connect a disconnected device below.
Done when: The row shows Status connect.
Connect a disconnected WhatsApp device
Goal: Turn a red disconnect badge into green connect.
Start when: The device row shows Status disconnect.
QR code (recommended)
- On the device row, click Connect.

- You should see the Connect WhatsApp modal with QR code and Pairing code tiles.
- Click the QR code tile.

- You should see a QR code image. Leave the modal open.
- On the phone that owns this WhatsApp number, open WhatsApp → Linked devices (Android: ⋮ menu; iPhone: Settings).

Tap Link a device, then point the camera at the QR on screen.
Keep the Kirisan modal open for up to 55 seconds.

- You should see toast Device connected successfully. and the row Status change to
connect.
Done when: Status is connect and you can send a test from Send → Send.
Pairing code (if QR fails)
Use this if the camera cannot scan the screen or QR times out.
- Click Connect → Pairing code tile.
- Enter the device number (country code, no
+) and click Get code.

- You should see an 8-digit code in the modal.

- On the phone: WhatsApp → Linked devices → Link with phone number instead, enter the 8-digit code.
- Wait up to 55 seconds without closing the modal.
Done when: Status is connect.
Reconnect or disconnect a WhatsApp device
Reconnect (refresh a live session)
Start when: Status is already connect but messages feel delayed or stale.
Click Reconnect on the row.

- You should see toast Reconnect requested. Wait a few seconds, then send a test.
If it still fails: Disconnect the device, then connect again with QR or pairing code.
Disconnect (pause without deleting)
Start when: Status is connect and you want to pause without removing the row.
Click Disconnect, then confirm.

- You should see Status change to
disconnect. The row stays in the table — click Connect again when ready.
Delete permanently
Click Delete and confirm the dialog. This cannot be undone.

Prefer pausing? Use Disconnect instead.
Connect a WABA number (Connect with Meta)
Goal: Link a WhatsApp Business number to Kirisan via Meta while keeping the WhatsApp Business app on your phone.
Before you start:
- Update WhatsApp Business on the phone to v2.24.17 or later.
- Confirm the number is active in the WhatsApp Business app.
- Know the Meta account (Facebook login) that manages the business owning the number.

Step 1 — Start Meta signup
- Open Channel → WABA → Devices. Click Connect with Meta.

- You should see the button change to Connecting…, then a Meta login window opens (popup or new tab). If nothing appears, see Fix common problems below.
- Log in with the Meta account that manages your WhatsApp Business number.

Step 2 — Pick your business
- When Meta asks for a Business Portfolio, choose the one that owns the number, then click Continue.

Step 3 — Select your phone number
- Pick the number from the list. Meta shows a coexistence note — your WhatsApp Business app keeps working.

- Click Finish (or Continue / Done). Do not close the Kirisan tab while Meta processes.
Step 4 — Save your API token
- Back on Kirisan, a green banner shows your API token.

- You should see toast Connected <name> · +62 …
- Click Copy token and store it safely. Confirm the number appears as a new row in the table.

Done when: The number is in the table and you have the token saved.
Next: Sync templates under Channel → WABA → Templates, then send a test from Send → Send.
Reconnect a disconnected WABA number
Open Channel → WABA → Devices and run Connect with Meta again with the same Meta account and phone number. Kirisan registers a new token — copy it from the success banner.
Copy a device API token
- Open Channel → WhatsApp → Devices.
- In the Token column on the correct row, click .

- You should see toast Device token copied to clipboard.
The Token column shows a short preview. The copy icon always gives the full token.
Note: This is the device token (for sending), not the Fonnte account token on Channel → WhatsApp → Token.
WABA
- Open Channel → WABA → Devices.
- In the API token column, click on the row.

- You should see a confirmation toast.
The full token is always available here — even if you dismissed the success banner after connecting.
Fix common problems
WhatsApp device list is empty
Symptom: You clicked Refresh but the table has no rows.
- Open Channel → WhatsApp → Token and confirm an account token is saved.
- If Fonnte account appears in the header, select each account one by one and click Refresh after each.
- Log in to Fonnte directly — if the device exists there, click Add Device in Kirisan with the same number, then Connect.
QR times out or never completes
Symptom: Modal closes after ~55 seconds; toast says linking timed out.
- Confirm the phone number on the row matches the SIM in the phone you are scanning with.
- On the phone: WhatsApp → Linked devices — remove old or unknown linked devices, then try again.
- Try Pairing code instead of QR.
- Keep the Kirisan tab in the foreground until you see Device connected successfully.
Status stays disconnect after linking
- Click Refresh on the Devices page and wait for the table to reload.
- If still
disconnect, click Connect and try again from the start. - Click the Package badge — if Expires is expired or Quota is 0, renew under Billing → Order first.
Copy token does nothing
- Click once on the page background, then click the copy icon again (browsers require a direct click).
- Allow clipboard access for
dash.kirisan.comin browser settings. - You should see toast Device token copied to clipboard. then paste with Ctrl+V / Cmd+V.
WABA — Connect with Meta is greyed out
- Refresh the page. If a red message appears in the info note, contact support.
- Try Chrome or Edge with popups allowed for
dash.kirisan.com.
WABA — clicking Connect with Meta does nothing
- Allow popups for the Kirisan dashboard in your browser.
- Disable ad blockers temporarily for this site.
- Check the address bar for a popup-blocked icon and click Allow.
WABA — “WhatsApp signup did not return a WABA ID”
- Run Connect with Meta again and complete all steps through Finish without switching tabs.
- Confirm you selected a phone number (not only the business portfolio) on the Meta screen.
- Make sure the number is on WhatsApp Business app v2.24.17+.
WABA — lost token after connecting
Follow Copy a device API token — WABA above. The full token is always on the row.
